I know looking at this blog lately might give the impression that I'm not drawing many cartoons these days. This cartoon was drawn the day the news broke about Prison Officers going on strike. I submitted it to a magazine, but then the very next day the strike was off. Oh well. That's always the risk with topical cartoons. Topical can change into nothing within a very small space of time, often before the ink is even dry. This is especially relevant with the print publishing world, who prepare their publications weeks before they hit the news stands.

Cartoon strip idea hasn't really moved on much. I've a few character ideas, which I'll be sharing with you over the next few weeks.
