About time I did another review of a fellow cartoon blogger. This week it's the turn of Harry Bell, a serious artist that has been dabbling in the world of cartoons. Love this lion gag, and so does Harry apparently, as he entered the same cartoon in two caption contests! Harry seemed to appear from nowhere recently and has consistently scored highly in the cartoon caption contest. An interesting cartoon blog, well worth bookmarking in your cartoon blog folder (like I did).

Sardonic Salad.
Normally I'm not that keen on salad, but this interesting blog, Sardonic Salad, is an exception. It's packed full of gag cartoons. Some are groaners, a few I don't understand and some are really excellent. The point is, even if you don't like the current cartoon, it's updated regularly, so it's always worth another visit to find those gems. And there's lots of gems within this cartoon blog.

Anthropomorphic themes a plenty. Onions, Lettuce, fridge contents and talking teapots will be found on this cartoon blog.
If this blog was waiting for a prize on bullseye it would get the speed boat AND the Mini Metro to tow it! ( probably a talking speedboat)

MadBadnInky. Tim Leatherbarrow.

Here's this weeks cartoony blog of goodness. It's from Tim Leatherbarrows, and is a cartoon blog, but also a cartoon blog with lots of wordy bits. Like:
"Remember, "Careless talk costs lives". I, for one am going to be watching what i'm saying the next time the neighbours have a cocktail party."
And such gems as:
"If anyone out there is flying over the Atlantic just keep a look out for a lean tall guy with an art portfolio in a dinghy"
But it also has some rather splendid cartoons, which seem to be mostly caricatures on topical news items.
The blog is updated regularly, with quick and topical cartoons. Visit it now. BadMadnInky

COMICALLY INEPT.
I've been overwhelmed by the numbers of cartoon bloggers who would like a review on this site. Fighting his way to the top of the list this week (should it be a weekly thing? Maybe it should?) is Joe from Comically Inept. I do feel duty bound to warn people that this site could be considered as NSFW, and it has some rude words scattered around it.
Joe is a willing victim. The following reviews may not be, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Comically Inept is an interesting form of cartoon blog as it's very personal to the author, and his struggle with alcohol misuse and avoidance, but that is not to say that it's not amusing. In places it's highly amusing, as a mirror of real life. Self deprecating, witty and regularly updated. Drawing style is naive, but I think that's something that suits the subject matter the most. Listen to me? Like I'm an expert on art. This isn't art. It's real life humour, in all it's gritty reality. Enough of my waffling. Thank you Joe for being the first willing victim to a plug/review on clangnuts. Visit his blog here (if you haven't already clicked on one of the previous links). Better still, visit it, then subscribe to the RSS link.
For some reason the title of this blog looks a lot better in CAPITALS, than lower case. I don't know why this is.
If you have been affected by the issues mentioned in this blog post, and you would like your cartoon or humour blog featured, please contact me before next Tuesday. clangnuts@gmail.com

A Simple Apology (site review)

and make up your own mind, or just visit it and have faith in my judgement that this is one of the best loosely drawn web comics drawn by someone called Mark, out there. Oh and unlike this shambles of a cartoon blog, this one is updated every Tuesday (mostly). I'm wondering why Tuesdays are such a good day to update, but in my experience it's on this day of the week that I get the most hits. I guess Monday's there's too much work to be done to slack off and surf the web?
