I've posted the black and white version of this image before, but not this color version. I inked this piece for LOONEY TUNES Licensing at Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Mike Fontanelli pencilled this terrific DAFFY DUCK & PORKY PIG art. My colorist, Dom Giansante, added the cool cartoon colors to DAFFY & PORKY from my color design.
Here's a new color version of THE HILLBILLY BEARS art that I posted last month. Originally, I did this as a black and white piece and I thought it would be cool to see it with color. Following my color design, Dom Giansante did a great job adding the color to the piece! This was also a commissioned piece for a HILLBILLY BEARS fan. I really like what Dom Giansante did with my character art of THE ANT HILL MOB from Hanna-Barbera's Wacky Races! "I'll make mincemeat outta that mouse!" This is a piece I did for the UNDERDOG - THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION DVD packaging. KLONDIKE KAT was one of my favorite segments of THE UNDERDOG SHOW. In addition to penciling and inking KLONDIKE KAT, I also did the color design, and Dom Giansante did the coloring.
From the KING LEONARDO cartoon show, it's TOOTER TURTLE! I did the art (penciling and inking) and the color design. Dom Giansante provided the coloring. I remember seeing TOOTER TURTLE as a segment on syndicated episodes of THE UNDERDOG SHOW. Click on the image for a larger view!
An episode of THE PETER POTAMUS SHOW is included on the SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS 1960s Volume 1 DVD set. The 2-disc set is scheduled for a May 19th release. I'm hoping Warner Home Video included the show's opening and closing on the set. There's also a SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS 1970s Volume 1 set scheduled for release on May 19th, as well. Looking forward to both sets! I did the inking and color guide on the above PETER POTAMUS art. I based the color on that of an old Ideal Toys PETER POTAMUS doll. The art was penciled by Mark Christiansen and colored by Dom Giansante.
