Here's a "cartoon painting" I did of TOP CAT a few years ago. This 8" x 10" piece is markers, colored pencils, brush & ink with cel vinyl paint on coquille board. The original pose was penciled by my pal and former WB co-worker, MARK CHRISTIANSEN. Click on the image for a larger view!

MARK CHRISTIANSEN created this concept for the cover of THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW DVD set. I think Mark did an excellent job! Hopefully, the show will get an official release from WB Home Video...and they'll start using art like this on the packaging of their classic cartoon DVD releases! This is how it should be done!
MARK CHRISTIANSEN is a terrific cartoonist who I had the great pleasure of working with at Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Check out Mark's blog by clicking HERE! Be sure to order Mark's book, SID SIRLOIN AND HIS FRIENDS!
An episode of THE PETER POTAMUS SHOW is included on the SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS 1960s Volume 1 DVD set. The 2-disc set is scheduled for a May 19th release. I'm hoping Warner Home Video included the show's opening and closing on the set. There's also a SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS 1970s Volume 1 set scheduled for release on May 19th, as well. Looking forward to both sets! I did the inking and color guide on the above PETER POTAMUS art. I based the color on that of an old Ideal Toys PETER POTAMUS doll. The art was penciled by Mark Christiansen and colored by Dom Giansante.
PIXIE & DIXIE and MR. JINKS for Hanna-Barbera Licensing. My inking over Mark Christiansen's pencils.

This is an inking sample that I did in hopes of working on SHREK activity and coloring books. Mark Christiansen did the pencil drawing, then I inked Mark's pencil art with brush, pen & ink on duralene. Mark and I created this art sample back in 2003. We were hoping to be named as a creative team on the SHREK books, which were being published by Scholastic Books. I was very happy with the way the piece turned out.
