Windows Vista Ready PC

Microsoft are preparing their next operating system (on account of the whole planet has already bought Windows XP) which promises more eye candy and idiot proof usability. The fly in the ointment is that most computers being used today, are too feeble to run this shiny new OS. The solution? Buy a new computer, or upgrade the one you have. Why? Because Microsoft need your money. People being happy with what they have, is a really bad business model for one of the worlds richest companies. If they don't sell more software - they don't make more money. Microsoft will dress this up, as YOU need this software, as it's so much better then the old Windows XP. They have spent 5 years telling us how brilliant XP was - now Vista is even better then that. The fact you need a very powerful (and expensive) computer to now open the same emails, and browse the same websites seems to be lost on them. What about the millions of laptops out there, that cannot be upgraded? Hmm, more landfill? Of course you can install Windows Vista with less then perfect hardware - but you'll only have a lite version of Vista, more like Windows XP! Unless you are some hopeless techno addict - you don't need Windows Vista to read the same emails, and browse the same websites. That is, until Microsoft force people to 'upgrade', by withdrawing support for Widows XP. Microsoft have said that support for XP will end 2 years after Vista is released.Suddenly Linux seems quite sensible, and user friendly.
