Computer giant, Dell has recalled 4.4 million laptops due to a risk of explosion or fire from the Sony manufactured batteries. It's been described as the biggest consumer recall ever. Airlines are now allowing laptops onboard as hand luggage, after a ban last Thursday. BAA have stated they will not discriminate between laptop brands - so in theory a Dell Laptop with exploding battery could find its way onto a flight. Just don't take any drinks, or toothpaste on your flight, and everything will be OK.
