There was a time when the Labour Party stood for nuclear disarmament. Not any longer it seems. At a time when the 'civilized' west is urging countries like North Korea from expanding nuclear weapons, Gordon Brown announces an upgrade to the UK arsenal of Trident Nuclear weapons. Why? I thought the cold war was over. Just who are we threatened by? Nevermind. It now seems that Gordon is assuming the role of Prime Minister. Interesting to note that Iraq didn't have nuclear weapons - and got invaded, I mean liberated. North Korea has got the nukes, and suprisingly no one is suggesting that we invade them. Maybe Gordon is thinking that Mr Bush will liberate Britain unless we have a deterrent? So now Gordon has the power to nuke the economy or if that's not enough - the whole world!
